Meet the Teacher

Hello, and welcome to today's podcast.

Today, I will talk about my job, my country, my friends, and my family.

So my name is Todd. My first name is actually Roger. My full name is Roger Todd Beuckens, but my friends and family call me Todd. So I use my middle name, and I am from America. I am from the United States, and I am from California.

So America has 50 states. So the name United States means 50 United States. And my state is California, and California is a big state, and many people live in California.

I was born in San Francisco. So San Francisco is my birth city, and San Francisco is a really beautiful city. I love San Francisco, but San Francisco is not my hometown. My hometown is Santa Rosa, and Santa Rosa is one hour from San Francisco. It is one hour north of San Francisco, and Santa Rosa is a very nice city.

But now I don't live in Santa Rosa. Now I live in Japan, in Beppu. Beppu is a small city in Japan, and I am a teacher. I teach at a university, and my university is in the town of Beppu. So I am from America, but I live in Japan.

Now, Beppu and Santa Rosa are very similar. So Beppu and Santa Rosa are small cities, and so Santa Rosa is not a big city. San Francisco is a big city, and Beppu is not a big city. Tokyo, in Japan, is a big city. And I like Beppu, and I like Santa Rosa.

My university is on a mountain, and my university has students from many countries. So most students are Japanese. So most students come from Japan, and most students are from big cities. So some students are from Osaka. Osaka is a very big city. Some students are from Tokyo, and Tokyo is a very big city. Tokyo is the big city of Japan. It is the biggest city. Also, some students are from Fukuoka, and Fukuoka is a big city on my island. It is about two hours from our university.

Now, we also have students from other countries. Some students are from China. We have many students from China. Some students are from Korea. We have lots of students from Korea. Some students are from Vietnam. Some students are from Thailand. Some students are from Indonesia. So we have students from many countries in Asia.

Also, some students are from Bangladesh, and some students are from India. Now, we also have students from Europe, and we have students from Africa, and we have students from North America and South America, and we have students from Australia.

So some students at my university speak English, and they study Japanese. And some students speak Japanese, and they study English. So I am an English teacher, and I teach students English. I have students from Japan, of course, but I have students from China, and I have students from Korea in my class.

I like my job, and I like my town, but I miss my family, and I miss my friends. So my family lives in America. My mother and father live in Santa Rosa, and I have two sisters, and my sisters also live in California. One sister lives in Santa Rosa, and one sister lives in Los Angeles.

Also, I have many friends from high school and university, and my friends also live in California. One friend lives in San Francisco, and one friend lives in Los Angeles.

But at my job, I work with many English teachers, and so I have friends from other countries. I have friends from England, I have friends from Australia, I have friends from New Zealand. I have friends from many countries, and of course, I have friends from Japan.

And that is my life. So again, my name is Todd. Please call me Todd, and I am the teacher and listening coach of this podcast. This is the Easy English or the Beginner English Easy Listening Podcast.

So I hope you enjoy this podcast, and I hope you enjoy the lessons. Thank you for listening, and please stay tuned for more.

Goodbye, everybody.
