Part 1 - Improve Listening - Study Guide
Listening: Guided Learning 🎧
Welcome to the Listening section for each conversation.
In every unit, you will study four conversations.
Each conversation starts with guided listening.
Guided learning makes listening easy, effective, and stress-free.
What is guided listening?
Most listening activities work like this:
- You listen alone
- You answer questions
- You check your score
In this course, it’s different.
Imagine a classroom where:
- The teacher introduces the listening
- The teacher does the activity with you
- The teacher explains the answers
- The teacher briefly talks about the grammar
That’s guided learning.
You’re not alone.
You listen with the teacher.
Why this works
You get:
- Much more listening time
- Clear focus on the meaning
- Gentle exposure to grammar
- Less stress, more confidence
After the listening, the teacher briefly points out the grammar.
You don’t study rules — you notice patterns.
When you notice grammar, you learn it naturally.
Listen anywhere
You don’t have to watch the screen.
You can:
- Listen at the gym
- Listen while commuting
- Listen while walking
Just press play and listen.
Repetition is the key
Each unit uses the same grammar point in four conversations.
You hear it:
- Once
- Then again
- Then again
- Then again
This repetition is essential.
The biggest mistake learners make is studying grammar only one time.
This course fixes that.
Time commitment
- One conversation: about 15 minutes
- One full unit (4 conversations): about 1 hour
The first thing you always do is listening.
Listening comes first.
Grammar comes later.
👉 In the next lesson, you’ll learn how to use the grammar activity to fix broken English.
